Installation

Our installation systems are following the guidelines in the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) to ensure the installation and workmanship are meeting the customers’ expectations.


Installation System for Solid Timber Flooring (To be Sanded & Finished at Site)

  1. Floor boards will be installed onto 40mm (w) x 10mm (t) hardwood timber batten with glue and nail down (secret nailing) system. Sanding and coating (waterbased PU or oil finishes) will be done after the installation of floor boards.
  2. Floor boards will be installed directly onto cement screed or tiles (flatness: 3 – 5mm in 1.2m) using full solid content adhesive.

It is necessary to ensure the flatness and moisture content (MC) of cement screed (MC: < 12%) are achieve to the requirement prior to the commencement of installation.


Installation System for Pre-Finished Solid Timber Flooring (Surface Finishes are Pre-Done in Factory)

  1. Floor boards will be installed onto plywood subfloor with glue and nail down (secret nailing) system
  2. Floor boards will be installed directly onto cement screed or tiles (flatness: 3 – 5mm in 1.2m) using full solid content adhesive.

It is necessary to ensure the flatness and moisture content (MC) of cement screed (MC: < 12%) are achieve to the requirement prior to the commencement of installation.


Installation System for Pre-Finished Engineered Timber Flooring (Surface Finishes are Pre-Done in Factory)

  1. Floor boards will be installed onto plywood subfloor with glue and nail down (secret nailing) system.
  2. Floor boards will be installed onto rubber underlay subfloor with glue down system.
  3. Floor boards will be installed directly onto cement screed or tiles (flatness: 3 – 5mm in 1.2m) using full solid content adhesive.

It is necessary to ensure the flatness and moisture content (MC) of cement screed (MC:   < 12%) are achieve to the requirement prior to the commencement of installation.
